We’re seeking a creative, energetic, and collaborative Lead Guide to join us. The Zion School is an independent microschool in the Glenwood Park neighborhood. Our unique one-room classroom is nestled along the eastside BeltLine trail of Atlanta, Georgia.


  • Lead Guide

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Guide will work with the rest of the teaching team (Co-Teacher and an Assistant) to provide a warm, nurturing, and safe environment where self-direction is enhanced, independence is encouraged, and individuality is respected.


    IDEAL CANDIDATES

    • Will have Early Childhood 3-6 MACTE/AMI/AMS credential or Montessori training preferred; however, applicants in training or willing to complete training should also consider applying

    • Previous Experience working in a Montessori classroom environment

    • Skilled classroom manager, inspiring children to be their best selves and patiently coaching them through solution-finding processes

    • Collaborative and willing to work within a team

    • Basic computer skills

    • Able to work between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily during our balanced year calendar; once hired, applicants can choose to increase base pay by working during our Session Break Camps

    • Interest or experience in outdoor education or similar experience is a big plus!

    • Legally authorized to work in the United States


    COMPENSATION

    This is a full-time position with a competitive salary (commensurate with experience), Montessori professional development allowance and tuition assistance for dependent children.
